![]() ![]() I’ve always enjoyed Peter’s work, and many fans of Ice Age can’t go wrong with him. ![]() I was also greatly impressed with how they brought back a lot of the prehistoric designs we’ve all come to recognize by Peter de Seve to deliver a stunning variety of these creatures in order to fill this giant jungle in the Lost World, as well as how they stay a lot true to how they looked since the franchise’s beginnings. Although most of the environments in the film are somewhat the same bland-looking areas that we’ve already seen before, I will admit that the sets in general look very good. Now, I really want to be nice to the animators at Bardel since there was an attempt to fill Blue Sky’s shoes and this movie has a very low budget considering their involvement here, plus I will give them credit for doing the best they could have done. However, I WOULDN’T say that this story would have been great as a WHOLE, but still, I DO see an idea that could have given out a legitimately good reason to continue the Ice Age series. ![]() For a SPINOFF movie starring Buck (aside from Crash and Eddie), I could see how the writers TRIED to pull off the idea in a way that would be interesting, following Buck’s adventures throughout the Lost World while pushing the world building of the land even further with some new inhabitants to help add a new element to both Buck himself and the Lost World, which would have been perfect enough to give out something that’s familiar with certain parts that people may remember from the third movie, and, at the same time, entirely NEW by supplying a kind of story that’s more bold and adventuresome, in which it explores this grand dinosaur world while discovering some new traits of Buck which are to be discussed about. For the story, if I can be honest here, the minute I finished watching this film, I SORTA understand what it wants to do, as well as how it could have worked out very well. ![]()
